A testimony from our\u00a0\u201c100 Camp Testimonies\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Book<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am from S\u00e9riqbuya, Maralb\u00e9shi County (Bachuxian<\/em> \u5df4\u695a\u53bf), Kashgar Prefecture. I would like to testify for my family members and relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I fled my homeland because my close friends were persecuted and murdered by the Chinese police, who later returned my friends\u2019 dead bodies to their families. At that time, the police were also looking for my brother. My family were\/are religious, so the police kept us under surveillance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2014, my brother and I fled to Turkey via Thailand and Malaysia. I am grateful that I have been living in peace in Turkey since 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chinese regime sent my family members\/relatives to internment camps or sentenced them to prison, and labeled my brother and me as \u201cterrorists\u201d because we live in Turkey. We have not done anything against the regime whatsoever, and we were just trying to live in peace and taking care of our children, yet the regime persecuted my innocent family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ghofur Amad, my father, is from the 6th hamlet of S\u00e9riqbuya, Maralb\u00e9shi County, Kashgar Prefecture. He was an imam of a local mosque, with no criminal record. He was sent to an internment camp in 2019, the reason for which, so I heard, was that he had sent his children abroad, i.e., my brother and me. I have not been able to obtain any information about his wellbeing or the formal accusation against him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ayshemg\u00fcl Barat, my mother, was also sent to an internment camp around the same time as my father. I have not been able to get any information about my mother\u2019s wellbeing or her formal accusation. My parents were interned because I live in Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nebi Ghofur, my youngest brother, was also sent to an internment camp in 2019, who has no criminal record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Merhaba Ghofur, my sister, was sentenced to 8 years in prison (Kashgar) in 2017, the reason for which was that I, her brother, live in Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y\u00fcs\u00fcp Osman, my brother-in-law, was sentenced to 10 years in prison (Korla), who has no criminal record. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gulember Abdureshit, my sister-in-law, was sentenced to 8 years in prison because her husband lives in Turkey. She is a kind lady with no criminal record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abdureshit Abduweli, Gulember Abdureshit\u2019s father, was sentenced to 8 years in prison (Kashgar) because his son-in-law lives in Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gohernisa Yasin, Gulember Abdureshit\u2019s mother, was detained and sent to an internment camp in Maralb\u00e9shi County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abduweli M\u00f6min, my cousin, was sentenced to 8 years in prison (Kashgar) in 2017 on arbitrary grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abdurahman Ablikim, my cousin, was also sentenced to 8 years in prison on arbitrary grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bahtunisa M\u00f6min and Maryam Rosul, my cousins, were detained and sent to an internment camp in Maralb\u00e9shi County in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chinese regime has persecuted my family members and relatives, interning them extrajudicially on arbitrary grounds. None of them committed any crime against the Chinese law. I have not been able to obtain any information about their latest situation or wellbeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
