The panelists included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Piero Tozzi<\/strong> (CECC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gulnar Eziz<\/strong> (Uyghur Academy)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Adiljan Abdurihim<\/strong> (Uyghur Transitional Justice Database)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rian Thum<\/strong> (University of Manchester)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discussion centered around the powerful experience of using 3D modeling and VR technology to recreate the internment camps in East Turkistan. Panelists highlighted the importance of this new technology in reaching a wider audience, particularly younger generations who are more reliant on technology for information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VR allows viewers to virtually step inside the camps and experience the horrors firsthand, fostering empathy and understanding of the human rights abuses perpetrated by the Chinese government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond raising awareness, VR can also serve as a crucial tool for evidence preservation.
