The Uyghur Transitional Justice Database (UTJD) recently participated in the Berkshire International Film Festival, marking their second film festival collaboration. This year, UTJD went beyond screenings, partnering with DisruptAR and Berkshire Film and Media Collabarative to showcase a unique virtual reality (VR) exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exhibition featured 3D models of concentration camps in East Turkistan, created by UTJD. Festival attendees and the public had the opportunity to immerse themselves in VR and experience these camps firsthand. This powerful experience sparked important conversations and raised awareness about the ongoing human rights crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
UTJD also attended the screening of the documentary “All Static & Noise” during the festival. Following the screening, attendees were able to ask questions and learn more about film and UTJD’s work.
