In 2025, UTJD continued to strengthen its commitment to rigorous research, the responsible use of technology, and documentation. Our collective work increasingly reflects a shift toward sustainability and institutional strength, supported by research-driven and technology-enabled approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
UTJD\u2019s work is guided by the understanding that transitional justice requires sustained effort and reliable systems. We remain committed to methodical documentation, evidence preservation, and the effective use of technology as the foundation for accountability and the historical record. As the ongoing Uyghur crisis persists, the need for independent, structured, and accessible documentation becomes ever more essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The year concluded with a collective assessment of progress and lessons learned, reinforcing UTJD\u2019s commitment to institutional clarity, shared responsibility, and continuity of work. During this process, we also discussed and defined our strategic direction for 2026. UTJD enters 2026 focused on strengthening its foundations and sustaining its contribution to research, technology, documentation, and justice.
