The Assembly aims to foster greater unity and collaborative efforts to counter the global challenges facing democracy today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than 500 civil society leaders, political figures, and thought leaders from nearly 100 countries will gather under the theme <em>\u201cRevitalizing Democracy: Resilience, Reflection, and Innovation.\u201d<\/em> Together, they will reflect on the progress of democratic movements and work towards renewing and strengthening democracy worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among participants at this year\u2019s Assembly is the Uyghur Transitional Justice Database (UTJD). UTJD will showcase its groundbreaking use of virtual reality to present a 3D model of a concentration camp, demonstrating how technology can be harnessed to highlight human rights abuses.
