UTJD Workshop 2025

The Uyghur Transitional Justice Database (UTJD) is pleased to announce that registration for the UTJD Workshop 2025 is now open.

Following the success of last year’s workshop—which brought together young activists, researchers, and technologists to collaborate on urgent human rights issues—the 2025 edition will once again serve as a dynamic platform for youth engagement, knowledge-sharing, and action-oriented collaboration.

Dates:

• Friday, 5 September – Arrival day for participants traveling from a long distance and whose accommodation has been approved by UTJD.
• Saturday, 6 September – Main workshop program.
• Sunday, 7 September – Summary, reflections, and an optional planning session for those who wish to stay involved.

Location: Oslo, Norway (venue details will be announced soon)
Who Can Apply: Youth, students, researchers, and human rights advocates, particularly from across the Nordic countries

This one-day workshop will include:

• Collaborative team sessions
• Expert-led trainings
• Hands-on projects
• Opportunities to contribute directly to UTJD’s work on justice and documentation
