Fellowship on Digital Transnational Repression Research Project

The Uyghur Transitional Justice Database (UTJD) in cooperation with the Open Tech Fund hosts fellowship on a research project to investigate China’s digital transnational repression efforts targeting the Uyghur diaspora. This project is conducted by an adjunct professor and research manager at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy at the University at Albany, State University of New York. In her research work she will analyze the intricate dynamics between China, host states, and technology companies. The research aims to collect evidence on the technological tools used against Uyghurs and develop practical solutions to counter digital transnational repression. The UTJD hopes that this collaborative work will be a ground to support other academia, researchers in their work related Uyghur Crisis.
