Forced Labour Research Related Page is Launched

The Uyghur Transitional Justice Database (UTJD) has launched a dedicated web page to share findings on Norwegian companies’ compliance with the Transparency Act, which mandates due diligence to prevent forced labor in global supply chains. Enacted by Norway’s Ministry of Children and Families, this law empowers the public to question companies’ ethical sourcing and human rights practices.

UTJD’s research highlights significant risks of Uyghur forced labor in Norway’s solar-panel industry. Recent assessments revealed a “very high probability” of forced labor in the solar supply chain, emphasizing the need for greater transparency and accountability across the industry.
