Sampolkonferansen at UiB

In today’s era, technology has the potential to unite us, yet various governments exploit the same technological advancements for widespread surveillance, data gathering, and censorship purposes. Concurrently, the internet and social media platforms can serve as catalysts for rallying global support against human rights violations. The panel aims to dissect this multifaceted issue, delving into how technological surveillance influences democratic systems, compromises citizen security, and impacts global societal dynamics.

The Project Coordinator for Uyghur Transitional Justice Database was among participants to tell more how technology is a threat and potential in Uyghurs perspective.

The panel was held at University in Bergen by the students of Sampolkonferanse committee.
